Sheet Metal Brakes For Sale — Find the Right Bending Brake for Your Shop

A sheet metal brake clamps your panel and folds a crisp, straight bend along its full width. Choosing one comes down to three things: the width you bend (24" benchtop machines up to 8-foot units), the gauge you work in, and the clamping style — because the clamp is what decides which shapes you can actually form.

Box and pan brakes use removable fingers so you can fold enclosed shapes like boxes, trays and pans. Magnetic sheet metal brakes go a step further — electromagnetic clamping removes the upper beam entirely, so box depth is unlimited and you can clamp round stock as a die to form curves and hems no finger brake can. One distinction worth knowing: sheet metal brakes are for sheet. If you're bending plate or heavier steel, a press brake is the right machine instead.
